Student Spotlight: Raven W.
One of my 12th grade students, Raven W., loves learning about the military. Ask him anything about US military history, weaponry, or modern tactics or organization, and he’ll offer an educated response or quickly research it and get back with you.
Raven recently wrote a poem in happenstance. While preparing for another class’s project, he created a personal slogan. The slogan quickly grew into a patriotic, encouraging poem that could apply in whatever situation that begs for — as he puts it — hope.

One Team. One Fight.
One team. One fight.
Together we stand.
If one gets hurt, better we defend.
All together we stand as one
So one day the fight will be done.
